About the Clinic
Cline Medical Centre is a unique integrative / Functional Medicine practice located on the East Coast of Vancouver Island in Nanaimo, British Columbia, serving Canadian, US, and international clients for more than 20 years. What kind of illness are treated at the clinic?
The practitioners at Cline Medical treat  a wide scope of health conditions including:  chronic fatigue, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, heart disease, stroke, arthritis, digestive and skin illnesses, neurological diseases, diabetes, adrenal, thyroid and hormone imbalances.
What about disease Prevention?
Many of our clients come for preventive care.  Some seek our services to prevent the development of illness that run in their family.  Others are looking for optimum wellness overall.
How Long is the wait to be a new Patient?
Generally patients are scheduled to be seen as new patients within 2-4 weeks of submitting their initial patient questionnaire.
How are patients charged for services?
Fees are paid at time of service.   A portion of care will be reimbursed to patients from Medical Services Plan for patients in British Columbia.   Private insurance or extended benefits may also offer some coverage.  Integrative services, testing, and treatments are billed privately. Consults are a set fee, and follow up visits are billed according to the length of time you spend with your provider.  
Do you treat children?
Sorry, Dr. Cline, MD does not treat children. 
What about hormone replacement therapy?
Hormone balance is essential to good health.
Adrenal, thyroid and sex hormone imbalance is treated with nutrition, botanicals, therapeutic lifestyle changes; and when needed, bio identical hormone replacement therapy is prescribed.
What are your detoxification treatments?
Detoxification always begins with therapeutic lifestyle changes, including nutrition, sleep, exercise, and relationship health.  As needed Cline Medical also provides chelation therapy for heavy metal detoxification.  
Can Dr. Cline  be my GP?
Cline Medical does not offer GP services to new patients. Functional Medicine is a specialized approach to health care and wellness.  We work in collaboration with your GP, sharing important findings and concerns .
